Wailua Homestead Master Plan and EA

Description

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is developing a master plan on its lands on Kaua‘i in Wailua that in total comprise approximately 474 acres (also known as the Wailua DHHL Planning Area). These lands will primarily be planned for subsistence agricultural homestead lots, possibly some residential homestead lots, and other associated land uses. The project will also include completion of the state environmental review process under Hawai‘i Revised Statutes, Chapter 343 and Hawai‘i Administrative Rules, Chapter 11-200.1. For DHHL to provide homesteads in Wailua Planning Area, the department seeks to work with DHHL beneficiaries in the creation of the Wailua master plan by engaging in a series of future consultation meetings and comment periods associated with this project.  The beneficiary consultation meeting schedule is below.
